🎡 Enjoy the autumn fair 🎢
The Basel Autumn Fair is a highlight for me every year and one I would never miss! Even though it has just ended, I still remember the smell of roasted almonds, the adrenaline rush of the rides and the carefree moments. Such experiences enrich life - even if candy floss and the Ferris wheel cost a little more every year.
Saving is important, no question about it - but the goal is not to give up at any price. It was clear to me: I also want to invest in small pleasures without losing sight of big goals. 🌟
Here are some of my “happiness per franc” strategies for conscious decisions:
💡 Happiness per franc: A cheap but longed-for coffee with a friend could bring more happiness than an expensive piece of clothing that disappears in the closet after being worn once.
💡 Memories instead of things: Experiences like the autumn fair often create more and longer joy than material things.
💡 Regular “happiness inventory”: Once a month, look through your expenses and ask yourself: “Did this really make me happy?”
💡 The “Do I still want this in a year” method: Before making a big purchase, think about whether the purchase will still bring you joy in a year – this way you can avoid impulsive spending.
As a financial coach, I help you to make room in your budget for the nice things - even in economically difficult times. Because finances should enrich your life, not restrict it.
Look forward to the next autumn fair – and if you want to be financially well positioned by then, I'll be happy to help you! 😊
How do you ensure that your budget is sufficient for such highlights?
